1. (48:1) Píseň žalmu synů Chóre. (48:2) Veliký jest Hospodin, a převelmi chvalitebný v městě Boha našeho, na hoře svatosti své.

1. A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2. (48:3) Ozdoba krajiny, útěcha vší země jestiť hora Sion, k straně půlnoční, město krále velikého.

2. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3. (48:4) Bůh na palácích jeho, a znají ho býti vysokým hradem.

3. God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4. (48:5) Nebo aj, králové když se shromáždili a spolu táhli,

4. For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5. (48:6) Sami to uzřevše, velmi se divili, a předěšeni byvše, náhle utíkali.

5. They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6. (48:7) Tuť jest je strach popadl, a bolest jako ženu rodící.

6. Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7. (48:8) Větrem východním rozrážíš lodí Tarské.

7. Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8. (48:9) Jakž jsme slýchali, tak jsme spatřili, v městě Hospodina zástupů, v městě Boha našeho. Bůh upevní je až na věky.

8. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9. (48:10) Rozjímáme, ó Bože, milosrdenství tvé u prostřed chrámu tvého.

9. We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10. (48:11) Jakož jméno tvé, Bože, tak i chvála tvá až do končin země; pravice tvá zajisté plná jest spravedlnosti.

10. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11. (48:12) Raduj se, horo Sione, plésejte, dcery Judské, z příčiny soudů Božích.

11. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12. (48:13) Obejděte Sion, a obstupte jej, sečtěte věže jeho.

12. Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13. (48:14) Přiložte mysl svou k ohradě, popatřte na paláce jeho, abyste uměli vypravovati věku potomnímu,

13. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14. (48:15) Že tento Bůh jest Bůh náš na věčné věky, a že on vůdce náš bude až do smrti.

14. For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
