1. (80:1) Přednímu z kantorů na šošannim, žalm svědectví,
Azafovi. (80:2) Ó pastýři Izraelský, pozoruj, kterýž vodíš
Jozefa jako stádo, kterýž sedíš nad cherubíny, ó zastkvějž
se.
1. To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
2. (80:3) Před Efraimem, Beniaminem a Manasse vzbuď moc svou,
a přispěj k spasení našemu.
2. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
3. (80:4) Ó Bože, navrať nás, a dejž, ať nám svítí oblíčej
tvůj, a spaseni budeme.
3. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
4. (80:5) Hospodine Bože zástupů, dokudž se přísně stavěti
budeš k modlitbám lidu svého?
4. O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
5. (80:6) Nakrmil jsi je chlebem pláče, a dals jim vypiti slz
míru velikou.
5. Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
6. (80:7) Postavils nás k sváru sousedům našim, a nepřátelé
naši aby sobě posměch z nás činili.
6. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
7. (80:8) Ó Bože zástupů, navrať nás, a dej, ať nám svítí
oblíčej tvůj, a spaseni budeme.
7. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
8. (80:9) Ty jsi kmen vinný z Egypta přenesl, vyhnal jsi
pohany, a vsadils jej.
8. Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
9. (80:10) Uprázdnil jsi mu, a učinils, aby se vkořenil, i
zemi naplnil.
9. Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
10. (80:11) Přikryty jsou hory stínem jeho, a réví jeho jako
nejvyšší cedrové.
10. The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
11. (80:12) Vypustil ratolesti své až k moři, a až do řeky
rozvody své.
11. She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
12. (80:13) I pročež jsi rozbořil hradbu vinice, tak aby
každý, kdož by tudy šel, trhati z ní mohl?
12. Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
13. (80:14) Vepř divoký zryl ji, a zvěř polní spásla ji.
13. The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
14. (80:15) Ó Bože zástupů, obrať se již, popatř s nebe, viz a
navštěv kmen vinný tento,
14. Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
15. (80:16) Vinici tu, kterouž štípila pravice tvá, a
mladistvé réví, kteréž jsi zmocnil sobě.
15. And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
16. (80:17) Popálenať jest ohněm a poroubána, od žehrání
oblíčeje tvého hyne.
16. It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
17. (80:18) Budiž ruka tvá nad mužem pravice tvé, nad synem
člověka, kteréhož jsi zmocnil sobě,
17. Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
18. (80:19) A neodstoupímeť od tebe; zachovej nás při životu,
ať jméno tvé vzýváme.
18. So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
19. (80:20) Hospodine Bože zástupů, navratiž nás zase, a
dej, ať nám svítí oblíčej tvůj, a spaseni budeme.
19. Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
