When you are unhappy the devil wears a grin
But oh he starts to runnin'
When the light comes pouring in
I know he'll be unhappy
‘Cause I'll never wear a frown
Maybe if we keep on smiling
He'll get tired of hangin' 'round

When I disobey and fuss all day
The devil laughs at me
But he hates it when I repent
And tell Jesus I'm sorry
So I'll read my Bible daily
And do what my parents say
Then the Son will keep on shining in my heart
And there He'll stay

If I forget to pray each day
The devil jumps with glee
But he feels so awful awful
When he sees me on my knees
So if you're full of trouble
And you never seem to win
Just open up your heart
And let the Son shine in
